It’s been an exciting couple of months at Wildwood Media. We continue to grow and everyday we look to improve. We’ve been lucky since we formed the company to work with some amazing organisations.
As we look at heading into our a fourth year, our Marketing Manager, Katherine, said we should enter some key award shows to celebrate our successes. Awards are great for many reasons (celebrate achievement, motivate the team, publicity, trust) but we’d been on such a non-stop rollercoaster of video production since we’d started getting anytime to consider awards just hadn’t happened.
Then it all came at once! Our first award/nomination was actually an internal NHS award for a film we’d produced to help explain a new way of working on mental health wards. To get this internal award was a great honour – and a true surprise.
This was followed by being a finalist for ‘Small Business of the Year’ at the prestigious Kent Excellent in Business Awards (KEiBA). This is one of the key award shows in the South East and given how impressive the finalists and the layout of the evening was, it’s sure to be recognised nationwide.
Last but by no means least we were a winner at the inaugural Maidstone Business Awards – where we won Best Start Up (in celebration of our first three years).
Three very different awards/nominations but each one special in their own right.
The latter is very special because it’s our first business award and wasn’t just a celebration of our creativity but how the business is run, the clients we work with and where we’re headed.
I wanted to share this recent success in the blog post but also give mention to two important groups – without whom we wouldn’t be here and certainly wouldn’t be winning or becoming finalists for such prestigious awards.
I would like to thank the people who work for us. The creativity of our team is so important and with this fabulous team of creators we’re able to offer high quality yet affordable video production, animation, motion graphics, 360 video, aerial filming and photography, the list goes on and on.
Most importantly I would like to thank our clients. A genuine heart felt ‘thank you’. Many took a risk on us when we were starting out and in the years since every single client who has asked us to produce their video content has believed we’re the ones to deliver the films they need. Most of these organisations I’d never met anyone from before they became clients (or at least before initial meetings) and so that trust in us means a lot and the work we’ve produced was obviously one of the key reasons we did so well over the recent award season.
However we’re not a company that sits on our laurels. It’s been amazing to have this success but we want to continue pushing ourselves and offering our clients amazing and affordable video production. Whether it’s businesses, charities, Local Government, NGO’s, promotional videos, communication films or long-term video content – we want to be at the forefront of video production in Kent, London and beyond.
